Scott is responsible for the global leadership of ExactTarget. He and his fellow co-founders, Chris Baggott and Peter McCormick, launched ExactTarget in December 2000 to help organizations use the then-emerging medium of email to connect with their customers and drive business results. Today, the company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: ET), has grown to nearly 2,000 employees, and powers cross-channel digital marketing campaigns across seven product lines for many of the largest brands around the world.
Scott is an acclaimed leader who has earned numerous accolades for his business and civic leadership, including 2012 Indiana Chamber of Commerce Business Leader of the Year, 2012 Laureate Central Indiana Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, 2012 recipient of the Indiana Sagamore of the Wabash, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, American Business Awards 2011 Executive of the Year, TechPoint Trailblazer in Technology, BtoB Magazine's Who's Who List, MS Society Hope Award, Indianapolis Business Journal's Forty Under 40 and Junior Achievement’s Best and Brightest. Scott serves as the Chairman of the Indiana Sports Corporation. He also serves on the board of directors of TechPoint and the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Informatics at Indiana University. In 2012, Scott served as Chair for the Marketing and Communications Division for the Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee.
Scott earned his undergraduate marketing degree from Indiana University and MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
