Company Culture = Competitive Advantage

Earlier today, we announced that our Pardot team was named Atlanta’s “Best Workplace” for the second consecutive year in the small business category of the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s “Top 100 Workplaces” program. This is awesome - an outstanding honor and testament to the culture that Adam Blitzer and the team have built at Pardot.

Celebrating and cultivating company culture has always been a cornerstone of ExactTarget. This recognition is particularly special because the award was based on anonymous employee engagement surveys conducted in December - two months after ExactTarget acquired Pardot!
From our first meetings with the Pardot team, it was clear that their B2B marketing automation product and team were perfect additions to the ExactTarget family.  Their fun-loving, customer-focused, innovation-driven company culture was strikingly similar to ExactTarget’s “Orange” culture. Our cultural alignment was striking and became a huge driver for both teams in ultimately deciding to join forces. The Pardot team even acknowledged that we were the only company they had seen that included culture as a competitive advantage in our S1 filing as we went public last year.
In visiting the Pardot team a couple weeks ago, it's very evident that their contagious energy and passion continue to thrive today - more than six months post-acquisiton. Congratulations again to the Pardot team on this exciting award. May today's recognition provide the inspiration to other companies to truly invest in culture to truly drive sustainable competitive advantage!
